My grandson William and I went this evening to fish. It is Williams’ first fishing trip at a real lake. We didn’t catch anything. A baby duck did eat William’s worm that was under a bobber. The park was very busy and there were several people fishing. There are lots of lily pads and weeds. We weren’t there very long (7-8pm) because William wanted to go walking. He is 2.

Try fishing the other side of the lake...there are no weeds and fish are plentiful.

We were at the south end of the lake. Just past the dock. I wanted people to know that the pads and weeds take up at lest a third of the lake. Plus there are weeds on the bottom so if using floating bait one would need a long leader. I used a spoon for a short time and didn't have any bites.

I have heard that there is but I haven't caught any. I also haven't fished for them.
