A friend and I left Olympia at 4 AM on Fri. the 12th. Picked up another buddy in Fife and where of to R.W. Arrived at our launch site at 9.30. Launched at Timm Ranch just below just below the first net pens. We decided to fish the shoreline up to the pens. We cast everything in our tackle box. The best producers were 1/8 oz. black maribou jigs and Crocodile spoons. We had to work for our fish but the end tally was great. In 8 hrs. fishing we caught 18 fish, kept 6 that totaled a stringer weight of 35lbs. A great day at R.W. The next day we started fishing earlier at 6:30 am. Fishing mostly 1/8th oz. jigs. Our success rate was about the same as the day befor. The fish came a little faster because we concentrated our efforts on the spots where we caught fish the previous day. In our total catch of the day we landed three green tagged fish from Nespelem. Six more of the larger fish are headed for the smoker. They averaged about 4 lbs each. Two wonderful days at R.W. I am home now but ready to return soon.

WOW Ganno, Sounds like a successful and highly enjoyable trip to the Ruf. Nice report and great pics. The smoker is about to get a work-out. Hope you and your gang make it back over soon.

Hey Ganno, Great report & photos. It looks like you got into the freshly escaped 32,000 4 to 6 pound triploids that Pacific Seafoods was kind enough to put into the river. We did the same thing with very high numbers on Sunday afternoon fishing from just below well #8 up past the lower net pens casting to the shore.
