My fishing buddy and I hit St. Clair this afternoon. We fished from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 or 6:30. I, personally, caught 4 little guys and got each one of them on a dropshot with a 6" natural colored "Gulp" nightcrawler.
My buddy, well, I am not speaking for him, at least I am not telling all. He caught 5 little guys. I will say this much, he got one on a black spinner bait and the other four with a dropshot, but I am embarrased for him for what he used as bait on the dropshot, so I am not saying.
All the largemouths were close to the same size, like 10-12", I would say. With my new glasses I actually spotted a couple for nicer bass, one on a bed in about 8" of water that would not give in to temptation and the other in the lilly pads in about 2' of water that just sat there and paid no attention, what so ever, to whatever we threw at him.
On top of the largemouth bass, we got 4 or 5 rock bass, as well.
