First I would like to report my mistake on the last Lake Alice report. The bass have not already spawned. Yes a few have and there are some fingerlings but for the most part the largemouths are still not on beds. A few new ones but that is it. Okay now to my report. Headed out to Alice with couple of buddies. Started on the north side working the docks. Saw some nice 3 and 4 but no takers.. tried every thing. Water temp was 61 when we got there at 10am. I changed over to a drop shot just so I could pick up a few small fish. It worked. I caught 7 or 8 small large mouth. We were all up at the launch so I decided to show one of my buddies how to drop shot from the boat launch. seconded cast and I got a kit. It was the biggest bass of the day. around 2lbs. She threw the hook but no bug deal. drop shot with a brown sniper snub seemed to work best also a white drop shot. Good luck and C&R
