Hit the lake about 4:00 pm was way too crowded and hard to find an open spot on the bank around the entire perimeter. Maybe 120 people fishing it, or more all with family and friends.
Like I said pretty crowded. But I found a spot where a guy was sitting, "not fishing" just sitting there enjoying the water taking a break from his mountain bike, he invited me to cast there and i couldnt refuse, maybe the only spot left to fish from lol! Was pretty warm but already has a bobber setup on my snapshot pole so i tried top with 24" leader and worm/powerbait for about 30-45 mins, nothing! Tried bottom with powerbait/worm and about a 4ft leader...nothing!
Swapped out every color of powerbait and frequently changed the length of leader between 18" and 48" even blew up some crawlers...nothing! Nearly 4 hours into it and i finaly seen a fish Landed about 60 yards down shore to my right. Walked down to get a peek and renew my motivation, guys wife caught 20" incher looked to be about 3lbs on a kiddie pole using orange powerbait on the bottom, Had another cpl 13-15 inchers on stringer as well!
All in all, nothing for me, Beautiful day, lotsa pretty birds and no snags, wasnt that bad!
Note: Whole Northern half of lake is full of weeds to surface!
Sorry for long report...need to vent after a good skunking lol!
