Lake was open, ice free....I spoke with a few others that were fishing too and it seems to be the 2nd weekend the lake has been completely ice free. The park ranger showed up as well, and talked to her about the gate still being locked up. She said that it won't open until the campsites are snow free and all useable. The lake still hasn't been planted as of yet. There are still a few hold overs....out of the 8-10 people fishing, I saw at least 5-6 fish caught (and released). I didn't catch anything, nor had a bite. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong, though it was pretty windy and overcast the whole day. It was still a lot of fun!
