Wow! My what a memorable day of fishing!! We started out about 530am and fished until 1130am. Launched from the Spokane House and motored down to Willow Bay. Caught 3 decent (1.5-2-5lb) LMB but did not get into the LMB like I thought we would. We really looked around and scouted areas we had not fished before and really couldnt find a large concentration of LMB. So we went back to the old faithing SMB!! They were as predicable as you could have wanted. Targeted rocky banks and wood with a 1/8oz jig and 4" Grub (Chartruse seemed to work best). Then about 830am it exploded, we caught about 50, yes really, 50 SMB. Majority of fish were 12-15 inches and I agree that these are on Steroids because they fought amazing!!! Had about a dozen fish in the 15-17 inch range and close to 3lbs but we could hardly keep the fish off our hooks! We were disappointed when we would cast 3-4 times without a fish! Cast to wood, let the jig drop for about 2 seconds then reel constant but slow. Set the hook two or three times because they are rowdy!! We stopped counting when I was over 20 and my buddy was over 30. Days like this are what dreams are made of!!

Looks like a great day of bass fishing..........My mom actually owns willow bay and its a great area to fish, I've seen a guy pull out a 10 pound large mouth off the shore of willow bay a few years back

Those fish are hot right now. I still have a smile on my face from last Thursday.
