not really my faverate way to fish but today I went to heart and lobbed out some powerbait. I hiked around to the backside of the lake and rigged up a 3ft leader on my 9 foot 6in spinning rod. this was the first time trout fishing with my new lamiglass 6-10lb steelhead rod and it worked great I was able to cast way past the weeds practically to the middle of the lake. I fished 2hrs and caught one 15in triploid and a normal 12in stocker. I cought the smaller one with 6ft of leader. I really wish I would have taken a boat probably would have nailed them. I ended up giving my two fish to a couple of fisherman at the parking lot who hadn't caught anything. I still need to smoke the 20fish in my freezer.
