Silver was tough going for Bassfanatic and myself,..we arrived on Friday the 29th and hit the water early Sat AM,..got skunked on our 1st trip on Sat and also later that evening,..water temps hovered around 71 degrees and higher,..FlippinFool and Basstradamus know the Lake but Sat was tough on everyone,..Sunday was the same for BF and I but Flippin boated a couple as well as Mrs FF,..Basstradamus also ending up boating 3 for the weekend before he left,..I was a bit frustrated but set my goals for Monday AM,..the lake would be less populated and maybe that might help,..we hit the water @ 6 AM and headed straight to Brushy Point where on my 3 rd cast i nailed a shy 2 lb LMB on a Brush-Hog T-Rigged,..BF also landed 1 under 2 lbs,..hit our 2nd spot at the Island and Cranked the rocky bottom casting shallow 2 deep,..the Bass were camped around the 5'-6' depth,..we were both trhowing Bandits mine was Firetiger/Chartruese and BF's was Baby-Bass,..landed 3 between us,..nothing over 2lbs,..so the long weekend wasn't a total loss,..it was nice to get our 1st Crank-Bass of 2009,..we'll be back but @ least now we know what 2 expect,..special thanks 2 John-Patty-n-Brandon who helped keep my head on right! Sunday night was kinda cool 2 as I landed a 13lb Grass Carp on some Bread-n-Vanilla weightless of the boat launch on 6lb test,..now that was fun!
