Took the wife and son to Eloika Sunday evening and had another great time catching Largemouth, man, I can't seem to get my wife off this lake! She seems to find the nice one's, this one went 3.2lbs. We caught somewhere between 10-15 in a 2 hour span using plastic worms, which seems the only way to go now that the cabbage is so thick, also you may want to remove it from your boat trailer before heading out as the WDFG is on the lookout for this stuff hanging from it.

Yes, and you people that always ask that question crack me up, like your some kind of Bass god or Bass police, so if you need to know our philosophy on catching and releasing Bass here's the skinny. I started bass fishing in the mid eighties, and it all started at Lake Amistad (one of the top 5 in the nation) in southwest Texas. Iv'e caught hundred's of bass (including tournament's) in my lifetime up to 13.6 lbs, and have a 10.8 lb (8oz from the lake record at the time) female on my wall. We always release all our Bass unless we injure it (swallow the hook) to the point where it will not survive. The big female on my wall is a reminder never pull Bass off their spawning beds because you never know whether or not your going to injure the fish, no matter how big the fish.

I know the question gets really old, I don't get it. Bass are in nearly every lake and are a introduced species. Thanks for the report and the great pics!

Thanks man, I get tired of seeing replies from the catch & release police too, they don't realize sometimes that they take the glory out of a good post.
