After a long flu delay arrived at lake around 9:30.My truck is currently not running so we are stuck either renting boats or fishing from"the Barge"(sevylor raft, ever tried to row one of these?).Had the barge inflated and on the water by 10:00.Headed to the right of the launch into a semi weedy cove where we've caught some lunkers in the past.Tried all the usual suspects caught one small perch on a worm.Decided to "troll",lol.Trolling in the barge is kinda like paddling Tom Sawyers raft with two tennis rackets. My wife managed one maybe 11 inch planter on my fly pole with a sink tip and wooley bugger.Landed like a pro,her first fish on flies. My flatfish produced nothing but we may not have been moving fast enough.Rowed to the north of the island were the planters seem to hang out and anchored to soak some worms.I got a bite and missed it then maybe 5 minutes later wife caught another planter.Fish were biting pretty good but unfortunately one of the local decided it was time to tow the grandkids around on their inflatable. They weren't going real fast and seemed to be trying to be polite but this is a very small lake.By the time they made a few laps we were getting by rebounding wake from just about all sides and we decided to leave.
