As you can see in the attached photos, AJ's dad has once again outfished his older and less attractive brother, the golfer. We got to Long Lake at 6am. The first fish was boated at about 6:15. We caught fish on grub jigs, crank baits, and spinner baits, but by far the pumpkin seed tube jig out performed all other methods. Most fish were in 2 to 10 feet of water. They weren't very picky today, they hit hard and often. AJ's dad boated 32 fish during the day as the DrumDog only managed 22. We had an excellent day on the water. Water temps went from 57 in the am to the mid 60's by 3pm. Rocks and logs were the most productive spots. There is a lot of junk floating on top right now. It looks worse than it really is. We fished right through what looked like green matted snot and still caught fish.

fishbig, we gave them a try but only for a short time. We hit a few downed trees with no luck. when the bass were biting that good, it was hard to commit time to anything else. I personally have not seen or heard of any crappie yet.
