Hit the lake from 4:30 till 9:30 pm. Slightly cloudy and windy, with temperatures in high 60's. Constantly caught crappie with the largest one being 13 inches. Lots of them in the 8 to 10 inch range. Had a blast catching them.

Now thats a great eating fish! Does Newman have a size limit on Crappie? How is the boat ramp there?

nice catch! looks like you got the crappie dialed in @ newman!

toad: there is a pretty decent launch at the SE corner of the lake with adequate parking, but there is no dock. you have to slide your boat off and have somebody hold it on a line or beach it. then you have to wade out into the water and climb into your boat. not terribly convenient, but i've been to worse.

be advised that the lake is shallow for 10-20+ yards from shore, keep your trim up until you can see visually or your depthfinder tells you that you're deep enough. i chunked a prop there once.
