Spent 4 days at Banks lake and what a great time. Largemouth and Smallmouth were abundant. On Friday most fish were off in a little bit deeper water and not on beds. Did see a few that looked like they wanted to be there but not really locked on. Got all of my smallmouth fishing a jig very slow down the drops. Lots of fish in the 2lb range. Largemouth were also great. Lots fo 2 lb fish and a few up to 4. All largies came from a jig and senko. Sat. same story and Sunday fish started moving up, Monday was by far the best day with several good fish on beds and the females feeding hard just out from the beds. Top water was working in the evening such as buzz baits and poppers.

Nice to hear you got into some fish. I braved the traffic over the weekend to fish walleye without any luck. Couldn't find them in any of the usual places in the south end of the lake. We broke out the bug rods and had some success with the smallmouth Saturday evening after dinner.

Nice job. I heard of a few people getting into the walleye up north but not alot. Seemed like alot of short fish. I never did try any walleye fishing since we were busy enough with the crappie, bass and just havin fun.

Yeah we were at Banks around the same time. Tons of short walleye. All of them were exactly 14 inches.... oh well. Bass were good. Thanks for the post!
