Decided to take my older son out to Eloika Sunday Morning and it was a blast! We nailed about 15-20 largemouths between 6-10am all were between 1-4.2lbs. A very nice and productive outing, but Dad ended up catching most of the bigger one's this time, sorry son.

Nice fish! I just must be fishing the wrong part of the lake with the wrong lure. I got skunked both Saturday and Sunday. Threw pretty much everything I had - spinners, buzz bait, plastics, cranks (well, as much as you can with the weeds in this lake) - if it was in my box, it hit the water.

Well, we use Zoom products, normally the pumpkin seed/black trick worm and salamanders seem to work well in this lake (and others) for us with no weight, we troll along the banks at about a 2 setting on the motor depending on wind. We usually start out trolling the south end from the launch going left but decided to hit the north end first and come back to the south end. We try to cast and hit the water as close to the bank or on the edge as possible or flippin just slightly in or on the edge of the lilley pads, they normally hit it on the first drop or second bump on vegetation. We also add some juice to the worms, not sure the brand but it contains anise.
