Got out early with my father to get in some fishing without a bunch of pleasure boaters running all over the lake. Headed North to Sand Point/Thorton creek area and had our lines in the water by 7:45. I got one takedown on my whole herring after about 5 minutes and that was all the action for the day. We hit Arrowhead point and Juanita Bay as well and varied our depth between 10' and 45'. Saw several boats out trolling but didn't see a net deployed all day and we headed back around 1:00pm. Surface temps were right around 60 degrees and the water was stained light brown which is something I haven't seen on the North end for quite some time. One thing I have noticed is a lack of bait showing up on the fish finder my last few times out on the Lake. I've been avoiding the South end to escape the boat traffic but I may need to give it a go as the rest of the Lake seems dead. The pic is of a family of geese which were taking advantage of the folks power loading their boats and kicking up vegetation making for easy pickings.
