Basically a repeat trip from yesterday except I kept a full limit this time out and lost 2 others at the boat. Yesterday’s fish that I kept were very good eating so I decided to have another couple trout meals during the remainder of my days off. All were 12” except one that was 13. All caught on a wedding ring tipped with worm behind a Less Davis chrome 3/0 dodger. They were again jumping completely out of the water, (surface water temp was 62 degrees F) and they were hitting the presentation consistently the hour and a half I fished. Lots of missed strikes! One of the five I harvested had a red Gamakatsu hook in his lip. One of the fish I lost at the boat (I saw the leader break at the hook losing the entire wedding ring) will have the same hook, but slightly larger in size. Anyway, great couple trips to Lake McMurray. When I drove away at 8:00 am (was on the water at about 6:15) there were 32 trucks at the launch. All but a few had empty boat trailers attached. Going early to avoid the crowds and late morning/afternoon wind was the ticket both mornings.
