My 5 y.o. son and I went out again today; fished from 9am-1pm. Landed 35 perch (kept 18, only 9 inch or bigger, 6 of them were 12"), 2 trout (1 of which was 20"; would have released it, but she was hooked deep), and a catfish. We could have done it all day; there was not a slow moment. Fish were 20-25 ft deep; water temp was 58-61 degrees. We used 1/16 white or purple curlytail jigs tipped w/worm.

Nice work! How big the catfish (bullhead or channel cat)?

Any particular structure or areas the perch hanging out at? Im thinking of taking the toon out tomorrow morning at Sammamish

TopDawg,
the cat was a bullhead; about 16 inches; good fight on a micro-rod! the perch are consistently at 18-25 ft, (bigger fish being the 23-25ft range) near dropoffs and slopes. if you are taking the pontoon, i would walk it in from the westerly most public beach. there is a creek with a long sand bar; at the end of the sand bar anchor up at 22 ft deep, white curlytail w/worm. the big ones are hitting the jig of the "flutter down". if you catch a bunch of little ones, go a little deeper. another option would be to go straight acroos from the ramp on the south side. there is a shallow weed bed; fish the permimter of the weeds at 20 ft deep.
good luck; post a report!
