We decided to take part in the Fishing Derby out at Williams Lake at Klink’s Resort. This is the second year that my girlfriend and I have fished this derby. Once again it was a beautiful day. I used plenty of sun block!!! There were so many boats that you could almost walk across the lake on them. We tried trolling but soon gave up on that… dodging all the boats became too much of a task. So I found a halfway empty spot on the lake in about 30 feet of water where I was marking a lot of fish. We dropped anchor and started knocking them dead… The fish were biting all morning and well into the afternoon. One of us used a bobber and the other floated a pink marshmallow with a worm off the bottom. Both were very effective. By the time we called it a day we caught a nice string of fish… They will be tasty smoked. Thanks Klink’s…
