Was on the water around 2:00. Fished until about 5:00. Fishing was tough. Was cloudy when I started and turned sunny and warmer. Water was 58 degrees. I was using multiple lures (Lizard, Jig, Spinner, Pop-R, Rattle trap) and nothing until about 4:00 I was fishing the lillies in about 3 feet of water. (figured i would try bassdude's method) Blue and black jig..felt a strong and i mean strong..BUMP BUMP...went to feel if there was tension (reeling in the slack) the line tracks the other way as I am relling slack to set the hook. Had to wing it. Had a big fish on for about 3 seconds and he spit it out. Frustrating!!! No fish made it to the boat today. Oh well.
