Arrived at the launch at about 6 am. One other boat was already launching. Surface water temp was in the mid to upper fifties. Only caught one fish on a floating/shallow diving stick bait. The fish was a nice LMB just under Eighteen inches and just over 3 pounds. Maybe a female getting ready for spawn? Fish was released unharmed close to where I caught her in about 8-10 feet of water off a log that went from shore to deep water. Didn't look to be much action for others targeting trout. Weather was brutal and rained the entire time. Still better than being at work.
