Fished about five hours this afternoon. Focused on brush overhangs and docks. Launched on the lower end, ran up to the DNR launch and fished our way back. We caught five bass, three smallies and two largemouth. Biggest fish was a largemouth that went 3-12. Three came from the same spot next to a tree, and the other two from under two seperate docks. Skipped a baby Netbait paca craw with a 1/8 ounce weight under the docks, and used a Tru Tungsten tail weighted worm rigged on a 2/0 hook under the overhangs. Water temp was 47-48 on the upper end, and 44-45 on the lower end. First time I can recall on this lake not catching any Squawfish. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Marked some big fish suspended in 20-25 feet in front of the rocks just outside Tum Tum. Anybody have any thoughts as to what they might be? They didn't want anything to do with my Rapala DT - 20s. Should have tried drop shotting in that spot, but still need to acquire the patience for the presentation. Fish On!!

You would know what those fish were if you drop-shotted them.....

You won't find carp down in that water right now. You probably saw Pikeminnows, peamouth suckerfish, smallmouth bass.
