Holy smokes! Was it cold or what?! I could hear teeth chattering all the way across the lake!! Early morning bite was red hot. By 9am, the show was over. More boats showing up with lots of marginal drivers on the ramp, but what's to expect for opening day? Kinda fun to just sit back and watch. Now we can get down to business!

Caught a few in the 17"-19"range. Lost a fair share including a real barn burner, dancing on his tail before he spit my fly back at me with vigor!! What a rush!! I'm almost glad I lost it. Just gives me another reason to return another day.

So many lakes, so little time.....
