We live in Lynnwood so we headed to Martha Lk first (me and my 2 sons). It wasn't even light yet and the docks were full - funny the signs say park not open during hours of darkness.....so we left.
Green Lake was the choice my boys made as we checked it out 2 weekends ago for fun. Hit a small dock on the SE side of the lake where 2 gents were already at it.
Boys being boys they wanted to start with their lures I let them pick out at the store. Needless to say that lasted 15 minutes and it was time to "get reel". They chose the power bait they wanted and I threw on a light green power egg with a 1/2 of a hatchery formula powerbait nugget. I had one on in 15 minutes. One of my kids had reeled in so I threw a chunk of the hf nugget on his line with his powerbait, had the other reel in and do the same to his line. Kid 1 has one on - bring his fish in, rebait and kid 2 now has one on - ..............I didn't fish for probably 20 minutes because everytime I turned round and tried to rebait my hook they're reeling one in.
It was awesome. My 9 yr old was ready to give up because "there aren't any fish in this lake"; he changed his mind with a smirk.
Anyhow - without wanting to take more than needed/wanted we left with 8 fish between us. Bite was best during 815-930 am. We used either white or light green power egg with chunk of the hf power nugget. Avg 10-11" bows.
Fishing is fun, catching is great. :) Tight lines all !
