Good grief is the algae on this lake EVER going to go away? What's it been, four weeks?! It is starting to clump up, and I bet you could scoop up enough of the clumps to make an algae ball and bean your friend in the face!! Gave it a try anyways, but the only bass I saw were suspended right under the surface next to structure in about 6' of water or less, they were very spooky too, and all too pleased to jet off if you made a cast anywhere near them. Never the less, I threw everything I could think of and only had one good strike to show for it...
One note, at about 11:30am the WDFW truck pulled up and dropped the triploiuds in, they were rising everywhere......probably gasping for air in the pea green water?! It must have set off an alarm too because when I launched there were only 4 rigs parked, and within 2hrs of the WDFW truck leaving you couldn't find a place to park!! LOL
Water temps were in the low 60's and I would recommend fishing early and hoping for a topwater bite....and bring your trout gear, just in case!
