Hello Bass Guyz and all Anglers ! .. Well my tourney partner Ryann and i got out on wa wa Sunday morning around 8:45. Water surface temp was 49-52. Most of our fish came between 6-27ft . This was a fun day for us we manage to put togheter a limit of fish 13lbs , nothing over three lbs(non pic worthy) ..We got into three fish right under 3lbs and about 3 that went 2lb or better . We mainly focus efforts on Points , drop-offs, and a few docks . Those fish were hitting everything from rattletraps, cranks, dropshots, football heads, etc ..Some of the bass are starting to move up to spawn but most of the beds were still empty . We ran up in newport for a short period and nothing produced..Came across one of my club members in the canals and he only got one bite in there . There is alot of active feeding bass in the main lake , the key to sucess was pulling up the one area hit it hard with reaction baits and coming back through with plastics . I have to say that the action is picking up really good out there , so if your thinking about going to wa wa now is the time . If i can offer any advise , i would say dont be afraid to cast up to shore (they are there) not many #'s yet but a hand few are up really shallow . Well next wkend im off to one of my favorite lakes (Roosevelt) for a two day tourney .. Well good luck to all and May your next bass be your best bass ..
