My plan was to go to Spanaway but my neightbor went and came right back because of all the jet skiers and fast boats. I decided to try Whitman. There was a boat trolling on the lake and a guy fishing at the lauch. He said that he hadn't caught anything in the hour he had been there,. I trolled a olive wolly bugger for a while them tried a little still fishing with a worm. Then trolled a black fly back to the launch, There were bugs all over but only one fish surfaced. Coming back by the launch there was what might have been a otter. I fished 7-8pm. I don't think that there has been a trout plant yet.

Hey Toni, I've only fished this lake once and it was from the launch...many years ago.
I would love to fish this lake more...Do water skiers pose a problem? Just curious,I'd love to drop my 12footer in here
but I currently only have an electric trolling motor on it,so basically it doesn't get out of the way of pleasure boaters very fast.

Only those that live there. I think there are only 4 or 5. So there are not as many as bigger lakes. If you stay on the outside edge of the lake you will be ok but the waves can be troublesome.
As far as I can tell from the planting record , they did not plant trout for the opener.
