Club Outing Report American Lake 041109 Washinton Walleye and Freshwater Fishing Club
I waited to see if ANYONE ELSE would post on this. No ONE did.
We were there at 8. Gary, Chris, William, Wayne with boats.
We had Roy, Jeff, Wendy, as riders.
Weather was squall lines and very cold wet feeling 44 - 49 degrees with light winds of 15mph max, 100% cloud cover, water temps were 46 -48 degrees.
The RED Duro lost its battery power and was an hour on the ramp.
We started around the north end of the big island and saw fish in schools on the sonar but no bites. That was pretty much the story for the whole day. After Chris got the Red boat running he did a sonar survey and found several good looking schools that were not interested in anything they offered.
After the shore Lunch, Wyane had to leave and Jeff joined the Gold Finch. Gary eventually caught the only fish in the venture. He reports it to be a 7lb Cutt. Pictures for prof required! Roy won't remember it. We didn't see it.
Jeff and I went till 4PM and try as we might no bites even when we new there was a good population right under us.
MAY 2nd at Silver Lake Cowlitz County.
