Decided to head over to Moses Lake to check out the Walleye bite.I stopped at West Caliche Lake along the I 90 corridor to see if the perch were biting. Started out with a fire tiger jigskirt below a thill balsa bobber and got hit right away. Later after catching a couple of dink perch, I switched to a small perch colored shad tail and started catching fish almost every cast. Most of the perch barely pushed 7" with a few slightly over 8" also caught a long slender Rainbow about 14" on the perch colored jig. Used a Yellow/silver tailed jig with maggots, tight lining and caught just as many. Landed close to 50 perch, but I just couldn't bring myself to keep the small fish. Judging by the egg skeens in the water , they had a pretty good spawn. Headed to Moses about 1:30 p.m.
