I wish I had a better review. Everything seemed right from above the water but only one bass, a bit over a pound and a half, agreed with our assesment. The weather was great, warm and sunny with varying breeze throughout the day. The water started at 41 degrees at about 10:30 and climbed up to 46+ by 6:00.
We primarily fished shallow, focusing on the overhead cover where the dead reeds are blown into the shoreline pockets. The bass I did catch came from a very nasty, heavy cover home. Trees above and reeds on the surface but only one or two feet of water. We did try the open water as well but not a lot of luck today.
That shoreline cover pattern should turn on with a little warmer water. 45 to 55 degress and it will be on.
