Man, what a day! Rented a boat. Lost more fish than we boated! Beautiful 'bows but no browns. Heard some folks were boating some nice browns though. Anyway, we had nothing huge, all 14-16" but fat as hell. Deb had one that had to be around 24" but when he made his last run the leader rubbed the boat and the line snapped. Anchored and still-fished over by the barn. Green power egg and half a crawler seemed to generate the most interest. It looked like the Spanish Armada out there, lots of boats. Some dork was tossing bud cans overboard too. What a dick. I hate the way some people mistreat the resources granted to us. Anyway, it was a great trout opener for us and I wish you all good luck and tight lines!
