I arrived at Silver Lake around 06:00 am and found no one on the dock fishing. So, I started to fish from the dock, this dock is pretty good, if you don't have a boat to go on the lake, which is my situation. If only I had a boat, that's the perfect dream, no doubt.
Well, getting back to the topic, I fished from 06:10 am to around 08:05 am and got two bites but no luck. I was using night crawlers, power bait: (green, yellow/red, etc.) and red salmon eggs. Also, tried the bottom up method and the bobber method. I even tried dock trolling to see what would happen. No luck, oh well, try again sometime soon. The man at Silver lake that runs the lake business store is very nice and full of good fishing information. They try to help out where they can. As for fishing, whether fresh or saltwater, it's either you catch the fish or you don't. Some of it is luck, some skill, time of day, temperature of water and if those fish are hungry! Also, the depth of the bait is critical too. So far I have not found any fishing formula or formula's combined that assure success on any given fishing day. So keep a smile on your face and keep on fishing. Remember, fishing is not just finding a good lake, stream or saltwater inlet, etc. It is also about enjoying yourself and relaxing whether you catch fish or not.
