Normally I ice fish this lake but could not access this year due to heavy snow and locked gate. 12" isn't bad for Hog...it's known for smaller than average fish. And this is the time of the year to keep a few. They're clean and firm.

3/26/2009 11:07:00 AMI agree, the lake use to be known for larger fish, but the food is just not there. I have heard there is a possibility that the lake will be killed out and they will start over. Rumor has it that is is full of Bullhead Catfish, stunted, and they will suck out all the food if that is so. Still, with the budget cuts this year, the lake may go from bad to worse for a while.
