No luck on Liberty today, but hey we got the boat out for the first time and that's all I wanted, first cast right in front of the launch had a nice brown come at my husky jerk but when i stopped it he decided to go back to the bottom and that was 8 feet of water, so we headed to the south end and started working our way around the shore throwing, jerks, divers, flat fish, spinners, drop shottin, and jiggin, and ended up desperate and throwing a hook and worm with no weight giving it a natural fall and still nothing, at this point all i wanted was a perch or sun fish lol, i was dyin! well the weather sucked but fishing is always good! I'm gonna hit Rock lake up this weekend where the big boys are! HAPPY FISHING TO ALL

Don't get frustrated, Liberty has some nice browns, and bass. This time of year I think the trollers catch more browns out in open water than with the shore pounders get. As the water warms, move South, but the warmer water is actually North on Liberty right now.

ice needs to melt ! I have been out there in it 3 times ! once it's gone landowners should have thier docks in the water soon . And there is alot of good water under that ice .
