Fished for 9 hours. We soaked worms, trolled spinners finally I gave up on trout and started fishing for bass and we caught 2 german browns. One on a deep diving arkansas shad and one on a banjo minnow. My friend was fishing that t.v. lure thats the only time I've seen one work ! The fish are fairly spread out, but they are there! I did have a nice largemouth come out and strike at a lipless crankbait but he was too slow or I was too fast, either way I am going back tomorrow. Itching for the first bass of the year.

Wow, a confirmed bass sighting in below 40 degree water. Bravo Thrasher, my hat is off to you. I was pretty sure that I was identifying bass on the humminbird but I had no intentions of attempting to fish for them. My weekend plans may be changing. And to think that I was going to wait until April.

Those browns seem to love bass lures this time of year don't they (LOL).

Good job guys, and if you were the ones having starter problems at the ramp that morning even a better job putting boat problems aside and turning in a productive day any way. If you are out on sat morning I will stop and say hi, we are going out for a few hours..W
