Well, thought I might try to repeat my success on Clear Lake this week, even though it's been sooo cold and crappy, I figured what the heck. Launched at about 8:30am and wouldn't you know it, my old friend Mr. Wind was a blowing outta the east at about 15-20mph!! Give me rain over wind any day, especially this time of year! Well, I tried my usual points, out to about 25', not even a bump.... at least not as far as I could tell....the largemouth bite like goldfish this time of year and when you have waves breaking over the bow and too much wind blown slack in your line half the time, you're just not gonna have the feel you need. Hung around until about noon and headed out to Samish to see if I could scare up a smallmouth?. Water temps were 42 degrees max and that sucks! Looking forward to April and warmer temps....after all are the 50's too much to ask for???
