Fished the South End for a few hours on Sunday and caught a few. Had to use my 9 foot rod and really launch it out there to get the bite, but they're out there.

Thanks for the report- any size to the trout? Were you fishing on the bridge?

About 15-16 inches. We were fishing off the beach at the south end (sand dunes).

Its about this time every year when the jumbo perch stack up by the I-90 bridge. Has anyone heard if they're being caught at all? Mike at Mike's bait and tackle in Moses says the perch are pretty small as of yet. Cenels2, were you using marshmellows with you worms for the trout? The last time I checked, the county was grading the road out there in the Moses dunes area, making it a lot smoother to drive on and get down to the lake at the south end. The Jigmiester

Yes we were using marshmallows. I haven't heard of anyone catching any perch yet. Everytime I drive over the bridge there is only about 1 or 2 people there.
