Wed Mar 4th

Weather - very good, calm

Fished downrigger @15' to 45' with needlefish, jointed rapala, wedding ring/worms.

No strikes, bites or fish netted!

Sun Mar 8th

Weather - very good, calm

Fished leadcore 3 1/2 colors @ 2 mph (plus or minus) with herring.

Numerous strikes biting off tail missing hooks.

Wed Mar 11th

Weather - very good with light wind and surface chop.

Fished leadcore 3 1/2 colors @ 2 mph (plus or minus) with herring.

Six hookups with 2 lost while reeling in, 2 silvers were released and 2 cutts(16"-17") were caught

Where - midlake in vicinity of monitoring station.

First cutts of the year for me! Next week I'll fish Lake Washington.

Silvers? I caught a blackmouth on the north end last year but you caught silvers? I know they run but how big were they?

I caught kokanee 'silver' trout not coho 'silver' salmon which I think you are referring to

Nice job Firetiger! Thanks for the report. It never ceases to amaze me the a "plankton eater", like a kokanee, can be caught on large lures and baits just like any other predator in the lake. I guess they have the small, Italian man complex and feel the need to mix it up with anything that gets close to them. Hey, just a reminder, if you hook into kokanee in Lake Washington, you can keep them as long as they are over 12" and under 15".
