Put out on the water at about 11 am on the south end of the lake off coleman point. Marked more fish than I can count at various depths. Lots of bait balls. Caught one 4-5 lbs smallmouth on a drop shot rig straight off the point in about 30 ft of water. Had a few other bites, but nothing on after that first one. We switched up to trolling for trout in the afternoon. Nothing doing though. Didn't troll for long. Was my first smallmouth. Gotta say I'm looking forward to getting another.

I'm impressed, nice fish. One thing though, BUY A SCALE ;) haha.

just simply forgot the scale. i was kinda bumbed that i couldnt get an accurate weight. we will get out again this weekend i hope. anyone got any tips on where to find them, or what to throw at them.
