Well, went back out to Deer Lake to try the ice fishing. Launched from a friends house this time, still on the SE corner of the lake. Ice is still good about 18 inches thick. Had a my power auger tuned up and worked wonderful. Cut about 6 holed about 30 - 50 yards from shore. Tried jigging with worms, maggots and perch. Never got a bite. Winds were 10-15 MPH and it was brutal cold out there. Didn't have my clamshell - so I only lasted 2 hours. Will try again in about a week! However, it was a nice day on the ice and I still enjoyed myself
