Kapowsin is definitely still a favorite lake. It is getting a bit more popular, but with the absence of any decent launch, there is nothing larger then the average pond boat out there.
Me and my fishing partner took Kapowsin by storm Friday morning, using red wedding rings and worms. Starting at about 9, the bite hit pretty hard and about limited (released all as we really didnt feel much like cleaning and cooking that day) by 11:30. They were biting fairly soft, and we had to be real gentle when bringing them in.
Saturday was the same deal, just a little slower. Get to know the lake before getting frustrated. I've lost plenty a lure to Kapowsin (it's practically a goldmine for you scuba guys!), so take your time to learn the lake. Stay in the middle at first if you have to, to avoid those stumps. Good luck!
