Went out today and took my 7 year old ice fishing. Fished from noon until 3:00 and didn't catch anything but the sun was out and weather was beautiful. We fished near the center of the lake where it was fairly deep and were bottom fishing. We also tried worms and various types of powerbait and trout nuggets but no luck. Some other people fishing there who caught some trout said the fish were only about 8-10 feet below the ice and the fishing was a lot better before noon. My kid and I still had fun and probably will return next weekend to try again.
