How was the new launch? I love this lake and have always limited out for trout- directly straight from the resort and find the huge stump and latch there...and did will trolling a size 70 frog colored flatfish.

I would think if you aint gettin snagged with the jigs ,you not fishin them close enough to cover....just my opinion....good to get ur boy out though i bet..waiting 2 get my girl out when weather gets warmer for her first season

Thanks for all the props fellas...Its always a pleasant trip when I get the family involved...but it would be even better if I could pull a hefty bass out too (lol)

Sparky- Good call, I should have been pitching closer to the stumps. I'll be back out here "very" soon and will try a better approach. There is a spot I want to try
near the island that looks like a great bass spot,I have no proof to back that up yet..it just looks like a great area.

jens- The new launch is excellent and the Pierce County Sheriffs Department monitors the area often...There use to be some problems with car jackings/break-ins
here but I'm really happy with the deputies keeping an eye out for us anglers.
