Tried Bead again this afternoon until dark with one fish on at about 4:00pm. This fish slammed my jig about 10' to 15' off the bottom as I was bringing it up to move to another spot. After a short powerful head shake and a strong fast run it was off. My mind tells me it had to be a big fat mack, but my brain tells me I can't tell what it was for sure. No one else was having any luck either as far as I could tell.

On the way to Bead we stopped and talked to some gentleman fishing from shore on the Pend Oreille River. These guys had four Nice Bows 16'' to 20'' and two pike one being 7lbs and the other being about 5. We thought about fishing there, but they were in Idaho at that spot and once you hit Wa you would have to trek through some pretty mucky mud to get to the channel. My Idaho license expired the first of the year. I didn't feel like nor can I afford to spend a buck on my ID non resident Lic right now.

Tomorrow a friend, my uncle and I are going to see if we can hit a Walleye or two at Little Falls.

If you make that trip to Little Falls will you post a report? I am very curious to see how you do in that area this time of year. Never really thought about fishing from the bank there. It might be really good.
