Perfect day to take advantage of the warmer weather. Hit American lake about 1030 a.m. Water temp was 40 when I got there and ended up reaching 43.5. Still tough day. Fish are still very hard to find. Found one in 25 ft. of water! She preferred the vertical jig with a chigger craw. Ended up weighing 3.52lbs! Definitely thought it was smaller until she got close to the surface. Picture may not be that great but I was solo and using a timer on my cell phone camera. This fish was the only bite I got but this time of year I keep myself ready for that ONE bite. You miss a bite right now and you may not get another shot so always be ready to set that hook. Hooked this one in the corner of the mouth just like your supposed to.
