Understand I'm not the one fishing so I'm not exactly sure on the lure used. I was doing a Doctor ordered walk, which really turned into watch people fishing on the dock after about um 20 minutes of walking along wanting and demanding coffee but was too lazy to walk 1/3rd of the way around the lake to get to the Starbucks and even lazier to simply go back to the car and drive to Diva.

Southeastern side dock just south of the bench. I don't fish from this dock often and being again lazy I left my rods at home - well my trout rods at least. Stupid part is the rest of my trout gear IS in the car.

Two other individuals are on the dock. One fishing from the bottom using corn - I will just call him Seahawk blue (he was wearing a Seahawk cap - and I know the colors not really blue anymore but I'm male and my color cordinations are like Windows 3.0 16 colors and peach is a fruit not a color). Anyways, the second person was using a small maybe 3/4 ounce silver that would work for salmon. Jig had what looked like buck tale or horse hair or whatever at the end of it. I thought the lake would be too cold to get the fish to move. Kind of like getting a man in a hotspring to get out when the outside air is beyond brrrrr.

On about the 15th cast I had watched him toss (he said he had been tossing the jig for almost an hour) a flash of silver hit his jig right near the surface and right in front of the dock. About 5 minutes later he had a brown trout on the shore. I had heard the lake had them but never seen one caught. Fish was about 19 inches long. It looked like fun and now I was itching to go fishing.

I know I only rated this a 3. It really should be a 5 but the guy felt like he may have used up his luck for year if not for the day. Water conditions cold clear and calm.

Also, theres a guy on here that posted a picture of a brown that was about eighteen inches last year... caught it on a pink worm. I hadn't seen any evidence of browns in the lake before then... I have yet to see a brown there with my own two eyes.

I had heard and read reports that browns were in the lake for the last 20 years or so. I think I had one at one time but didn't land the fish when my knott decided to not hold as I was bringing it to the shore.

As I said earlier I wish I had my light gear with me as I would have joined them on the dock... but as luck had it the guy that caught the fish may have caught the only one biting anything that day.
