Got a few things done to my boat so I wanted to test them out today! New planing fin on the yamaha 40hp 4-stroke made a huge difference! New FF works great! Finally broke in the new cabelas XMLTi dropshot rod just wish it was a bass instead that broke it in! Water temp was about 41! Perch were found in 76ft! On the water at 9am and off by 1pm. Pretty cold out can't wait for warmer weather!

Salmonhawk-I got a Cabelas XMLTi 6'9" Drop shot rod! It is a very nice rod in my opinion with titanium guides that are good for braided line! There is allot of rods out there that specialize in specific techniques so you can search for a dropshot out there from a different outfit! Just do your homework and don't overpsend! I love the cabelas XMLTi's and the price is right. I also own a XMLTi baitcasting rod too!
