Caught pumpkin-seeds, perch, and largemouth all relatively small sized compared to my Wisconsin ice fishing standards. Had the best luck at around 10 feet graphed a lot of fish and most of them bit but were on the small side. Their were about 20 other anglers out on the lake and it was mostly sunny. Saw several deer, turkeys, and even a baby moose from the lake (right by the resort). The moose siting was the highlight of the day i got within 10 feet of it and got some rather good video on my cell phone.

oh wow I was out there too... didn't see the moose though. where are you from in WI? I'm finding many people on this site that have moved from Wi and MN over here. I lived in Osceola and Rice Lake for a few years... Anyway I hope to see that moose next time I'm out. It's always fun to see that stuff no matter how many times I've seen it before.

I am from the Webster/Siren area, its only about 45 mins from rice lake. I got skunked again today out at Sprague and am really missing my good old fashioned wisconsin lakes!!!

It's not about spiny rays in the PNW. Catch yourself a steelhead and rid yourself of this misguided predisposition for Wisconsin waters.

where's my eye-rolling icon? Havefun fishing panfish, you'll catch a lot more of them where you are than steelhead.
