First chance to go fishing in ages presented itself today, so I jumped in the car and went to Beaver. Once on the plateau it was sunny skies, but still only 35 degrees air temp. I don't know what the water temp. was, but I could only take 2 hours in my tube. Brand new neoprene and wool socks, and I was miserable.
I dragged a woolly bugger around the lake, then slow dragged a inflated night crawler. No strikes at all. Saw two fish jump, one was good size. 4-5 people on shore didn't seem to be catching anything. Two other guys in float tubes without any fish that I saw. Unfortunately I now feel a head cold coming on.
