Hit St. Clair at about noon. Surface temp was 37-38 degrees. First it downpoured on me then the winds picked up about 25-35! Very cold and windy. Threw spinnerbaits lipless crankbaits, jig n pig's, drop shots, t-rigged plastics, and shakey head all to no avail. Not a single bite! Definitely some lethargic bass right now! This is a numbers lake with lots of dinks and produces well in the summer! I have caught some winter largies here in winter but it's tuff. But they do gotta eat so I fight the cold and take my chances. Maybe we will get an early spring this year! Tight lines everyone!

Why not just get skunked fishing for steelhead? Your chances of hooking up are far greater anyhow.

I dont mind getting skunked,i love bass fishing and thats what i do.I have fished for trout ,salmon, and steelhead and none give me as much joy and pain as the all mighty BASS.To me a far superior fish in eluding anglers thats why they have million dollar pots to catch them& if memory serves me i think they are gonna do 2mil.
